The decision to start a family is not a light one. It is a step that defines our future and marks a before and after in our lives. Naturally, this process is full of intense emotions, from the greatest joy to the deepest concern that awakens our fears of any kind. It is important to be aware that these emotions are normal and that we are not alone in this journey.
At Family Aims, we believe that family formation through surrogacy is a journey full of emotions, which also deserves to be celebrated. Our commitment is to provide comprehensive support. We want to help you achieve it, share your joy, and be part of the process.
Our goal is to create an atmosphere of love, trust, respect, and harmony between the surrogate and the parents to prevent any emotional damage or moral risk. We are committed to making the gestational process of bringing a baby into the world a rewarding and meaningful life experience by designing a personalized plan for the pregnancy and postpartum period based on the following pillars:
Modulating relationships and communications
We define a clear and direct communication channel between the parties, whether by email, phone, or video calls, to facilitate the exchange of information and the resolution of doubts or concerns.
We know that communication is an essential part of the decision-making process and generates a significant emotional impact between the parties when it comes to appeasing anxieties or calming doubts that may arise during the initial stages of the process.
Furthermore, we also foster empathy and mutual respect through interviews that help to understand the needs and emotions of the parties.
Arranging modes of accompaniment: dialogue and consent
We facilitate a space for dialogue so that the parties can express their wishes and preferences regarding the moment of birth and the subsequent reception of the baby. We work to ensure that the birth process is carried out as safely as possible for the pregnant woman, always seeking to build a bridge of dialogue with the parents so that they can learn about the baby’s condition.
Psychological support
At Family Aims, we also have the support of psychologists and external specialists in assisted gestation, to mediate in the conversations and ensure that a satisfactory agreement is reached for everyone.
This ensures that everyone involved has the emotional support necessary to face the challenges and intense emotions they may experience throughout the process.
Act of commitment
An essential part of our effectiveness as an agency is based on the collaboration of all the actors and the trust that comes from the mutual commitment to make this dream possible. For this reason, we draw up a commitment contract that documents the agreements reached, including how the birth will be accompanied, whether the parents will be present in the delivery room, and the process of bringing the baby to the parents-to-be.
This document, endorsed by the parties in the presence of a psychologist, shows the commitment, predisposition, and responsibility of all those involved to bring the gestation process to the best possible terms.
Continuous follow-up and evaluations
We carry out individual evaluations regularly through interviews with the pregnant woman and the intended parents. We suggest that they be carried out at least at two key moments of the pregnancy, which would be at 16 and 32 weeks of gestation, to have a real-time follow-up and to know the concerns that may arise throughout the different stages that the people involved go through.
A noble mission
We believe that honest and open communication is the foundation for a successful pregnancy. We also believe that our plans can be meaningful life experiences that help build thousands of families around the world and bring happiness to those who dream of enlarging their families.
Likewise, we promote harmony and respect between the parties, ensuring the emotional well-being of all those involved in this beautiful journey that is surrogacy, transforming difficulties into new opportunities for encounter.
